Comprehensive Care and Expertise in Addiction
Effective treatment programmes and a specialist drug dependence care network.
Non-profit organisation
Fundación Salud y Comunidad is a non-profit organisation, registered under no. 08/325 with the Alto Protectorado de Fundaciones del Estado (Spain's national foundations authority), committed to society, and monitored, endorsed and funded by various public authorities that have trusted our services for years. It is a solvent, recognised and prestigious organisation, and several of its services are part of the XAD “Xarxa d’Atenció a les Drogodependencias” (Drug Dependence Care Network) of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Comprehensive Addiction Care Pathway
One of FSC's main distinguishing strengths is that it offers its own comprehensive addiction care network, made up of different specialist services that complement one another, giving each person the specific resource they need at each point in their recovery process.
Experience and Professional Services
We offer treatment programmes that apply drug dependence intervention methods and techniques proven to be the most effective, backed by FSC's more than 30 years of experience in this field and ongoing collaboration with universities and training and research centres. FSC has a stable, well-established team of professionals specialising in drug dependence: psychologists, psychiatrists, educators, support workers and administrative staff with the training, experience and vocation needed to carry out health and social care work of this complexity. Most hold master's degrees in drug dependence and in family therapy and have at least 10 years' experience in mental health intervention.
Working with families
A core value of Fundación Salud y Comunidad's Comprehensive Addiction Care Network is its work with families. In many cases we start by supporting the family first, helping them make the changes needed for the patient to decide to seek treatment for their drug dependence, as family members need as much care as the identified patient. In the therapeutic communities, family involvement is essential, and at the short-stay centre “Riera Major” families even come to the community every week. At the SAP, group therapy sessions for family members are held regularly, offering guidance and tools to help them through the process of change.
